That’s the truth, but we have the lowest value squad in the division even after our spend so I’m not sure what people expect? The state of some of the posts on here, I really don’t understand the mentality. The base we’ll build on next season in the Championship will be far stronger than the one we built from after promotion from league 1, and if I’m honest I think that has been the recruitment strategy this season.
The club is in the best shape it’s been in for decades, this season is a bump in the long term journey. I can only assume those calling for McKenna to go probably had their “premier league team” until around April last year. |  | | |  |

If we go down - and I know we will but I’m trying to be positive or optimistic or daft etc. Then Delap will leave, possibly Omari and Leif as well. But we’ll still have the foundations of a great championship side. And then in the close-season, we’ll add to the squad and if we go up then we’ll add some more.
Could well be a lot stronger for our next attempt at the PL. |  | | |
