Seagulls, parakeets, magpies. That's usually the order they start up in the morning. A seagull tried sh-tting on me yesterday. Missed me by about 2 metres. Think it was deliberate.
I saw my first swift of the year this morning (Apr.29th) within a minute of my first cuckoo sighting although I know they've been reported in the county (Wiltshire) for about a week already. I saw three more about 30 minutes later.
Me too just now sitting with a cuppa after work near Saxmundham. A good few days earlier than usual. Heard them first then saw 2 way up. Summer is here.

When you actually study and get interested in the birds in your garden you seem to find there's more varieties than it appears.
I thought we mainly had just sparrows, but there's actually dunnocks, great tits, blue tits, robins, starlings, blackbirds, chaffinches and goldfinches frequenting our garden. The goldfinches just seem to perch on the phone wires and never come down unfortunately.
Plus of course the numerous Alfred Hitchcock crows, pigeons and magpies.

Regarding the goldfinches. Get a niger seed feeder and they will.
