A lot of talk about personnel changes however should we also be looking at the shape of our midfield?
A lot of the successful clubs at the minute are playing more of a midfield 3 so even if we find two very good midfielders it will still be tough to win the midfield battle against teams that play the 3. Yes we have our 10's but as we've established they are not winning a duel against a physical CM.
I'm guessing it's probably not on the table given our squad makeup, but for me at times this season, it's felt we've need another in there.
I've been saying all season we needed three in midfield. We've been dreadfully overrun. Another way of being more solid would be to have three centre backs with the central one having more of a free pass to push into midfield when we are building from the back. (Woolfy could do this easily)

I gave Taylor MoM v Newcastle but I'd still release him. Next season we should have Morsy, Humphreys and two new players, someone who can score and someone who is athletic.
