Whilst I totally agree, it's not just foreign internationals. Clubs that we vaguely might have thought we could have vaguely kept up with, Everton, Palace, West Ham, all have multiple full England internationals. The fact that we ever thought we could attempt to keep up with them, and also Wolves, with there £45 million Brazilian international amongst others, is almost delusional when you analyse it in that way. I think it's a process with the foreign recruitment, and one that snowballs. You need the scouting etc, but players won't necessarily just join any old relegation fodder, so you need to prove yourself a bit too. Maybe yo-yoing will help us build a bit more scouting wise as well as being in the public eye so to speak. [Post edited 5 May 14:51]
