Over the past year or so I’ve been on a major physical and mental transformation journey — a personal mission to rebuild my health, fitness, and self-confidence. It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made, and now I’m ready to push myself even further. Marathons, Hyrox and Martial Arts competitions are on the long term agenda, but in the mean time, this July, I’m proud to be part of a UCL team competing in the UK Challenge — a multi-day adventure race through my beloved Lake District.
I’ll be running up mountains, cycling across rivers, orienteering over rugged terrain, and solving complex team challenges — all over three intense days. We’re doing this in support of Onwards & Upwards — a brilliant organisation that helps people rebuild their lives during rehabilitation. They launch and grow sustainable social ventures, giving individuals real opportunities and lasting support to create a better future.

A little bump in case anyone is feeling flush and/or generous. 8 weeks out so went on a slow 10km yesterday with a weighted vest, in the blinding sun, to start to build the base endurance. Sunburnt to hell today ha! [Post edited 12 May 15:12]
