Semi realistic line-up 13:19 - May 26 with 486 viewsharveybell05

There will be lots of these I'm sure but here is my "wishlist" squad for next season based on my predictions that Burgess, Delap, Johnson, Muric, Baggott, H.Clarke and Harness move on.

I'm quite happy with the GK department as it is, maybe a loan for Slicker?

GK: Palmer/Walton

I like Townsend alot but think the club might fancy someone similar to Davis to compete and cover, Alfie Doughty makes a lot of sense and is likely to be available on the cheap from a relegated Luton.

LB: Davis/Doughty

Greaves is solid enough and proven in the championship, maybe a premier league loan to help him out. Callum Doyle from Manchester City now has a season and a half of experience and has looked impressive all be it for the team up the road.

LCB: Greaves/Doyle

Middle Centre-Half is fine as it is in my opinion.

CB: O'Shea/Wolf

The right centre-back is an interesting one and it looks promising that Axel will stay put based on Kierans comments yesterday. I'd like to see us go for Jordan Storey from Preston, a good age and is about to come into his best playing years he also has a large amount of experience in the division.

RCB: Tuanzabe/Storey

Looking at the right back and thinking with my goal scoring cap on, I think we will have the luxury of trying to play more attacking football, especially with the security of Axel behind. Ogbene and Burns both returning will be like 2 new players ready to give us balance with Leif pushing up on the other side.

RB: Ogbene/Burns

Midfield will be the biggest overhaul of the summer, Morsy will play a big part but I doubt he will start every game, Taylor is a solid 7/10 every game regardless of the division and is worth his weight in gold and I've got a good feeling that we will land Cajuste. Don't ask me why, I;m probably just seeing the world through blue tinted glasses.

LCM: Cajuste/Morsy/Taylor

Also bolstering the midfield will be a hungry and also very versatile Cameron Humphreys, he will have minutes next season and I believe he has the ability to make a big difference. Another Suffolk boy who will no doubt divide opinion is Flynn Downes, I think his aggression in the middle is what we've lacked this year and it looks like we've tried to bring him in before.

RCM: Downes/Humphreys

For the first time in a while, it doesn't feel like our attack needs massive work. There will be a real battle on the left side between Jack Clarke and Nathan Broadhead, two players who have proven how good they can be at this level and if both are in form, it could be very dangerous

LF: Broadhead/Clarke

The right side is also very competitive, Philogene is yet to hit the heights that we all hope he is capable of and I'm yet to decide if I prefer him on the left or the right. Omari is very capable on the right and if he can get his confidence back up, he could be frightening.

RF: Hutchinson/Philogene

I think Hirst will stick around on the basis that he the first choice and to be honest i think his performances this season have gone under the radar. His goals to minutes ratio is decent and his hold up has been top-notch as ever. I saw someone mention Evan Ferguson on here earlier, a fantastic player with huge potential, would be great if we could land him on a permanent but even a loan would be a good signing. Emil Riss is relatively proven at this level and whilst by no means a "flashy signing" he knows where the back of the net is and on a free transfer, he makes a lot of sense as a a third striker.

ST: Hirst/Ferguson/Reiss

That's all based on a 3-4-2-1 ish formation but very fluid. We will no doubt use a 4-2-3-1 at times which leaves Chappers and Szmodics to come in as the attacking midfielders behind the main striker.

AM: Chaplin/Szmodics

These may be way off but here is what I'd expect to pay just on a pure guess really!

Doughty (6 Million) would have been a lot more but stock has fallen with the relegations and injuries.

Doyle (Loan)

Storey (2 Million)

Cajuste (15 Million) Roughly what the buy out clause was reported to be all be it that was a condition of staying up!

Downes (15 Million) probably slightly inflated due to Saints selling to a rival.

Ferguson (Loan)

Riss (Free)

Total: £38 million plus loan fees.

Debate Away!
