Anyone been following?

Close test. India doing a good job here of keeping the scoreboard ticking, 177 lead now. Rahul and Pant looking pretty comfortable.

India lost 13 wickets for 71 which will cost any side. India lost a test when they were 430 for 3 in the first innings which is borderline mental.

He won't get man of the match for it but Josh Tongue running through their lower order won that game for us. Picking up rabbits is what wins you games.

One reason why Essex are in the mess they are in this season is we get teams 6/7/8 down for not a lot and there's some hundred odd partnership late order that throws a spanner in the works

I would be surprised if Tongue replicates it against a tail that isn't completely useless. Not sure he will be mopping up the Aussies in the same way. There is a maxim in test cricket that you make sure you can't lose the game before you attempt to win it. Needed to bat on to 600 in the first innings. Left the door open by not doing so.

What a test match that was.

Never felt like we wouldn’t win that yesterday once Crawley & Duckett got through that first hour with no alarm.
