If Cajuste really wanted to be here, it would've happened by now. He's a fine player but surely now it's time to move on. If he goes to Burnley, good luck to him but I'd like to see us start bringing at least one central midfield starter in the next week. Season starts 4 weeks on Friday and a bit of bedding in time would be useful.

Within all this we have to remember that there is a selling club who wants the best deal for them. So if we now have 3 interested parties they are going to push for the best deal for them as well.

If they can get all three to agree the same price, then it is up to the player to decide. Englandx2 or elsewhere. Then of the two English deals which is right for them.

There are so many parties involved that these things take time because the scene has changed time and again week after week

Difficult to know in situations like this how much it’s agent driven. Maybe he does want to join Town but the agent is playing games to get him the best deal. I agree with the sentiment that we can’t let these things drag on but I suspect it’s not always down to the players wishes.
