As I mentioned in another thread, it's estimated that over 21,000 immigrant workers have been killed developing Saudi 2030 projects, many of which are part of NEOM. I would be surprised if Cajuste, who seems to not only be a thoughtful footballer but an intelligent and ethical human, would countenance being involved in sportwashing it.
I have given lectures on NEOM and the human rights abuses, some of which are online I think though I won't share here, and it's not only grotesque, it's also not a feasible or real project and only small elements of it will be built at huge human and environmental expense. |  |
