I mean who exactly would support a military response in an enclosed prison and what did you think might happen?

$22 billion?!?
FFS.

I think Sanders speaks well in that clip.

Who is the audience though? In reality how many people will see that.

We've known this for so long. What does it change?

The MAGA loons don't give a toss and will put no pressure on Trump whatsoever.

I hope and it's the slimmest of hopes, that the minor rumblings of discontent around Netenyahu's announcement today about Gaza start to slowly spread into some tangible rejection of his regime.

You have to keep your hope right?

So is Sir Keir on your good guy list this morning ?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c1mpe9x80xvt @08:04

'UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer calls the Israeli security cabinet's decision to "further escalate its offensive" in Gaza "wrong" and urges the government to reconsider immediately.

"This action will do nothing to bring an end to this conflict or to help secure the release of the hostages. It will only bring more bloodshed," he says.

"Every day the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens and hostages taken by Hamas are being held in appalling and inhuman conditions.

"What we need is a ceasefire, a surge in humanitarian aid, the release of all hostages by Hamas and a negotiated solution. Hamas can play no part in the future of Gaza and must leave as well as disarm."

He goes on to say: "Together with our allies, we are working on a long-term plan to secure peace in the region as part of a two-state solution, and ultimately achieve a brighter future for Palestinians and Israelis.

"But without both sides engaging in good faith in negotiations, that prospect is vanishing before our eyes.

"Our message is clear: a diplomatic solution is possible, but both parties must step away from the path of destruction.”'

Realpolitik is quite difficult but has to be done.

Not sure if you're replying to me or Banksy Zombers.
Whilst I'm not Starmer's biggest fan, I suppose I have to at least recognise he is a senior European leader who has issued one of the first statements decrying the announcement.
But they are just words and actions speak louder than words.
We'll see.

I was just rattling Banksters anarchist cage from my safe Democratic Socialist ivory tower. But whilst we are here I will try and rattle yours with choon from an act that are appearing at FolkEast next weekend:

This (Starmer) government also revoked licences for any offensive weapons to Isreal last year but didn’t seem to be widely reported. Unlike with Russia, any sanctions would be meaningless and token, Netanyahu has already shrunk the economy by about 20pc so he’s doing a fairly good job of wrecking their finances. Ultimately it’s US support that’s keeping this going, and there doesn’t seem to be much prospect of that changing.

Being mindful of not derailing the thread, I do have to say that I 'king loved that track Zombers.
I saw Roger Daltrey at Audley End last week and he did a similar version but it was the violin player who carried the synth part. Very impressive.

This is probably the most obvious example of the flaws in American politics ever. The ‘war’ is not supported by the American population, has no effect on the lives of the American population, but because of the money provided by Israel’s lobbyists they continue to spend billions of taxpayer money to support the ‘war’. Joke of a system and doesn’t resemble democracy in the slightest
