Oldham v Col Who 21:47 - Aug 9 with 438 views | ITFC_Forever | Went there today for Oldham’s first game back in the League since promotion to get me back to 90/92. Parked in the main car park about 30 yards from the stand, never parked so close to the ground in my life! Good little set up there, sat in the Joe Royle Stand, and underneath there’s a fanzone style bar, with loads of dartboards. In the bar, the chairman comes round chatting to everyone, he approached us and asked us if we enjoyed the PO Final at Wembley last season, and we explained we were Ipswich fans topping up the 92. He thanked us for coming and chatted to us, and explained the dartboards are for leagues they have during the week, including a darts academy for kids. Col U were the better side in the first half and took the lead after 8 minutes when Oldham rather carelessly left the U’s CB unmarked at the back post. Oldham equalised later in the half when a cross from the left missed everyone and went in. Oldham improved in the second half and could / should have won, with a combination of poor finishing, goal-line clearances and good saves denying them. | |
