Nervous start 21:49 - Aug 14 with 544 views | slaughteredskipper | Of our squad we have - injured players, players returning from injury, players arriving that have not had a preseason, players that have not been with the team long enough to start, players that don’t want to play for us, players rumoured to be wanting away, players possibly of an age where they will need to be looked after, players that are in the throws of loans or transfers out - which leaves about 13 players that are ready to go including 3 keepers. It just feels really disjointed and not surprising that there is a real nervousness amongst fans at the moment. Continuity and culture has been strong in the last few seasons - I’m sure Kieran has it all under control but feel we need some sort of significant catalyst to bring confidence back. Let’s hope it’s a good performance on Sunday !
Nervous start on 22:11 - Aug 14 with 452 views | Nthsuffolkblue | There has been continuity and development of the squad over the past 3 or 4 seasons. Last season we seemed to lose some cohesiveness and we need to regain that. However, there have always been injuries, transfers in and out, and those subject to speculation. In fact the last time there wasn't was probably because we were bobbing along as a mid-table League 1 side. Continuity: Palmer, Walton, Davis, Greaves, O'Shea, Woolfenden, Johnson, Cajuste, Szmodics, J Clarke, Hirst, Ogbene, Chaplin, Taylor. That's 14 fit players who were here last season. Add to that the first team signings (who must want to be here), and we have the nucleus of a very good squad. We could do with another top quality midfielder but we are not far from where we would want to be as long as Akpom and Azon prove to be good enough. I would like to think we will get someone in with the Hutchinson money. Aside from Burns, Philogene, Townsend, and Harry Clarke who are the injuries? When was the last time we had fewer than 4 squad players out injured? I expect most clubs do right now.

Nervous start on 07:35 - Aug 15 with 212 views | AlpineBlue | We drew a game that most bookies and pundits had is losing with a massively understrength squad. Furthermore, for all talk that we had no shots on target, I think Birmingham only had 1 or 2. If at our absolute worst we can hold one of the promotion favourites to a draw away, I think we'll be fine. As for the Bromley game, we lost to Maidstone at home 2 years ago, and we did ok after that.

I think of the 14 fit players we constantly hear about Ogbene returning from injury and that Jens can’t do 90. 2 of the 14 are keepers and there was murmurings of Wolfie wanting to leave. I have faith in the club who are clearly better placed than me but I just worry that we don’t look the dominant possession based team of 2 years ago.
