Sales for the Preston Away fixture have slowed to trickle with barely 24hrs to go until kick-off. There may be a handful of last minute sales before the sale is 'closed', but I'm drawing a line under it and summarising as of 1300 on Friday. The Sales Profile for the fixture is therefore (near as dammit) as below. Summary (as of 1300 on Friday 22nd Aug): The Club announced an initial allocation of 3000 tickets had been provided, with more to be made available if those sold out. Initially Blocks L, M and N were available for sale (2924 seats, including 16 wheelchair / assistant spaces). Throughout the course of the sale, additional seats were gradually added across Blocks P and Q (including some additional wheelchair + assistant spaces). At my final count: - A total of 4565 tickets had been 'allocated' to us. - The Club retained 149 seats for Club allocation / steward use (assume no ballot allocation as the sale reached 'general' level). - A total of 28 wheelchair + assistant spaces had been made available. - A total of 4388 tickets had been made available for purchase for across Member, Season Ticket and General Sales. Per Window Sales: - 568 (12.94% of available seats) seats sold in the 30+ window. - 867 (19.76%) seats sold in the 25+ window - 282 (6.43%) seats sold in the 20+ window - 201 (4.58%) seats sold in the 15+ window - 699 (15.93%) seats sold in the 10+ window - 289 (6.59%) seats sold in the 5+ window - 563 (12.83%) seats sold in the Season Ticket window - 782 (17.82%) seats sold in the General window - 137 (3.22%) remained released but unsold. Points of note: * Several hundred high-pointers (25+) have given this fixture a miss (some will have waited until lower Windows to purchase with lower-point friends etc, but I doubt that accounts for all). * Seats that were released later in the sale, in lower points windows, were arguably better views than the blocks on sale initially (this is likely to happen for Blackburn too). For future sales maybe that tempts higher-pointers to wait for the 'better' blocks to be released before they purchase... * Interesting to see sales in the 5+ (maybe even 10+) and lower categories as this gives a slight insight on the numbers of "I'm desperate to see an away game, anything will do" fans.
