Dalian was class, real shame he had the problems in later life and such a sad end. We were very much a selling club then and we had Kiwomya coming through. £450,000 was a decent sum in those days. I liked Kevin Wilson, he was sold 2 years earlier to Chelsea as Atkinson was coming, the next on the conveyor belt. Kiwomya and Atkinson, why are we not producing strikers like that now. |

I had forgotten about him. Yes,looked like he was going to be the next thing. But it never did happen. We had some good strikers back then. With the likes of David Lowe and Kevin Wilson, all decent players. | | | |

I’m sorry, but your swipe at “glory hunters” is rather wide of the mark. I’ve been supporting town for over 50 years, through thick and thin (mainly thin), however, am I and others not allowed to be a little annoyed/disappointed in our form over the last 8 months or so? Especially given the huge investment both on and off the pitch. |
You can be annoyed as you like but if you think that the last 50 years has been "mainly thin" then I think you need to think again (only one FA Cup and only one major European trophy? Well maybe your standards are higher). [Post edited 24 Aug 19:35]
