Since Morsy left, one thing we've missed is that player who will have the confidence and composure to go and collect the ball from the goalkeeper and defenders under pressure and then progress it through the lines. Jack Taylor tried, but doesn't have the turning circle to really pull it off. Azor Matusiwa has been great, but that's not his forte. Cajuste can do it, but we prefer to see him further up the field. Nunez is perfect at it. So composed at receiving the ball under pressure. He'll also make those big diagonal passes and pick passes through the lines in the way Morsy used to too. I know it's a controversial move, but emotion aside, he really does seem to be the missing piece of the jigsaw in that midfield. | |
