Would love, and hope, to see him stand own as Mayor of Manchester and become an MP and then leader of the Labour party. Just my personal view but I think Starmer is toast and will face a leadership challenge next year. I dont think the public ever really wanted him as PM but after years of the Tories he was the least worse option. As the polls widen between Labour and Reform his own party will turn on him. |  | | |  |

As a former Labour member, Andy Burnham would be my choice too.. Indeed, I voted from him in the 2015 leadership election.
I saw him during the hustings and he definitely had an aura and a presence when he came on stage.
David Miliband had it too when I saw him in a meeting at a Labour conference, and I voted for him as well.
It wasn't really anything to do with policy just that I have tended to vote for the person who seemed best placed to win an election. But I had buyer's remorse a couple of years ago with Starmer. [Post edited 5 Sep 17:00]
