The son of a friend of mine had e-coli and it gave him kidney failure leading to a transplant, which was a shame as he was a very good footballer, identified by Town scouts over a few games who said he had natural ability in everything required by a footballer, but a failing kidney stopped his potential football career. After his transplant he went for a golf lesson with a pro who said he cold teach him nothing, he had a perfect natural swing and a huge talent for golf. It is also highly contagious, my mate was in the Chelsea academy as a schoolboy for a few years but dropped out because he could not take the school, football, homework, sleep repeat routine, especially travelling from the White City estate to Chelsea for training.
