Forgotten how good a shot stopper he is. Having a good game for Sassuolo tonight although beaten by a couple of deflected shots so far, but they’ve pulled one back with about 8 mins to go.

See that Sassuolo are sponsored by Mapei, reminds me of one of my favourite cycling kits of the late 90s.

I watched his and thought the same. He easily scooped up crosses and made some good saves. There was one moment where he rushed out into no-mans land but they got away with it. Can't help but think he was a better presence than Palmer.

Never having to take a cross or less so, abroad, might suit him:

Best GK over ever watched was Vitor Baía - about two levels above Shilton etc

Bobby had to play him with reserves against the first team in training.., he never conceded. Frightening.

Then he signed for Barca, did ok, but never recognised as the best in the world, truth was he wasn’t great on crosses, and he never had to take many for Porto or Portugal, in big games for Barca it was more of an issue.

Not comparing Muric though…, who is generally poor at everything, except shot stopping where he is good tbf.

I don’t think he’ll ever play in the UK again if he’s got any sense, better suited to leagues where his weaknesses are mitigated more of the time.

If we can get a fee for him; we’ll bite their hands off I’d imagine. Such poor talent ID from us. Our leagues require good feet, good catching at crosses and presence, he’s bloody huge, but never wanted to dominate his six yard box even…, seemed frightened.

It’s like we never scouted him in actual cooperative games.
