After Barbrook, who might be the next academy player to "make" it. I say 'after Barbrook' because he's at least got a loan move to a decent club in L1 ( although don't think he makes their matchday squad).
But who are the likeliest out of the current academy to make it - either with us or, at least, to get a loan at another club at a decent level?
We get small match reports about the 21's /18's, but is doesn't really indicate much about who are the standouts or rising stars. You hear good things about a kid and then see a year or two later he's going to be released. It does feel sometimes why should you take an interest when so often these young kids hardly make the grade.
Just seen Morgan get a loan to Billericay. Mendel seems to get good reports and Boniface has made some squads. Does anyone keep a close watch on the youngsters and who are the standouts? |  |
