With our very strong left side and so far less than inspiring right side are we unbalanced in terms of our wingers and wingbacks?
Obviously from the players we have Davis needs to be left wingback, furlong right etc etc. But, in an ideal world/squad would not McAteer be better with a right footed Leif behind him and bombing past him and similarly, would not Jack Clarke or Jaden Philogene be better off with a left footed Furlong behind them giving more defensive cover for their attacking flair?
I see on here that many people think McAteer is the perfect foil for furlong or whoever is at right wingback. Can anyone explain to me why this is better than what I describe above, other than they are forced to play on the side they do because they are right/left footed etc? I am more interested in the logic of the linkup between each sides wingback and winger |  |
