sometimes, just sometimes your effort is worth it. 20:28 - Oct 1 with 381 viewsredrickstuhaart

I spent ten years coaching, chairing and generally running a youth football club. Paid for kits, marked pitches, the lot.

Tonight I was at a loose end and popped down to my local non league club where the u18s are playing in the 2nd round of the fa youth cup. A competition I saw Town win many years ago at pr.

A lad i coached as a tiny 7 year old and for several seasons after is playing. My first captain. His brother went on to play for me for several years after with a younger side.

It's a little thing but my god it's made my month. Silly small thing but I'm tearful here. Always said that if one of the players I coached went on and played even locally at good level I'd have done my job.
