Can we please dispel this ridiculous narwich claim of ... 09:24 - Oct 2 with 3282 views | ArnieM | "its been 16 yrs since we've beaten them . "..Utter distortion of the the facts naturally by them. Its NOT POSSIBLE to to win , draw or lose when you are physically not in the same division. Town and narwich have been in the same division over the past 16 years on just FIVE occasions! eg : Ipswich Town and Norwich City were in the same division during the 2023-24 season, and the period from the 2019-20 season to the 2022-23 season, inclusive, making them 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023: These were the seasons Ipswich Town and Norwich City were in the same division... We therefore did not beat them in those 5 years ... they I think, only beat us twice in that period , and we drew the remaining games. So it would be more accurate of them to claim weve not beaten them in a five years period between 2019-2024.... Its time to put that record, straight.

Now thus is true and I agree fully. I cant remember the last time a Town side played a derby game pumped up. Maybe the adrenaline rush overwhelms performance (as it definitely can).l, but we always seem soft in the tackle and easily bullied, ( maybe that's just a general Town trait though)... The Town players this weekend CAN only see this as " another gane" sureky. None of them to my knowledge are now " one of our iwn". So they hopefully will be totally focused and objective on the day. Also FWIW, I view the planned " fans welcome" of the players, likely yo have the opposite affect intended and eoukd pile pressure on our players. WE need to try and treat it as just " another game".... impossible right! Lol COYBs
