Is there a good time to maybe question a couple of the poorer moments from the game?

Maybe not, but here we go. Hirst yesterday, First and foremost I really rate the guy. But his performance yesterday was really poor. There isnt a first touch in his game, whether its passed into him, or he's running onto it, he just doesn't have that about him.

He runs his socks off, but so far this season I've not been impressed with him at all.

He will come good I’m sure, but yes he is out of form two great chances yesterday scored neither.
Not sure it’s all down to him though for me the number 10s aren’t linking things well at all, Sammie and Akpom more like second striker as opposed to attacking midfielders

The only Muff in Town.

My fear for hirst when compared to other players is that is there much more development available with him or is this it?

He's perfect for the press role and does so much good when playing you really don't want to find faults. But we have spent a lot of money to become a certain level of quality, I see development in all players. Gelling time etc etc. But hirsts role isn't new. He's getting chances but he's not finishing them. Similar to Sammy s. Lots of running. Puts in a great shift. But end product quality isn't there.

I love hirst and I'd love him to be no.9 for years to come. But can he grow with us or is he at the highest he can go

a niche perspective
