Watford sacking Pezzolano in very unsurprising news on 17:30 - Oct 7 with 837 views | WestStanderLaLaLa | One of my customers is Watford. He’s had sympathy with most of the recent managers as the squad was so poor. But said this one was rightly for the chop as best squad in a few years, formation and team selections baffling.

Watford sacking Pezzolano in very unsurprising news on 21:49 - Oct 7 with 600 views | Fenland_Blue | I read last week about an unnamed Championship club, whose senior players had been to see their chairman, to complain about their manager as they weren’t having his tactics or patterns of play. Plenty guessed it was Watford.

I think they’ve already had more managers since 2000 than we’ve had in our history. I saw that article last week and wrongly assumed it was Manning…

I make it 20 permanent managers since Aidy Boothroyd left in 2008. That excludes one manager who had to leave after 4 games due to health issues. In comparison, we have had 19 permanent managers in the club's near 90-year professional history. Since 2008, we have had just two managers who have lasted for less than a year - Paul's Hurst and Cook. I make it that Watford have just four that lasted for longer than a year (or a year and a month, as has been the case a couple of times) - with the longest being a 2-year stint for Malky Mackay. Baffling

The European model is usually very different. Most clubs employ a "head coach" rather than a manager & it's not unusual for them to be changed each season. Watford have taken this to ridiculous extremes, though.
