How the table could look following the midweek fixtures 12:22 - Oct 20 with 923 viewsSamWhiteUK

Hi all, been a long time since I did these, partly because I forgot I could and partly because my source for the fixtures changed all their website formatting so I couldn't easily parse it, and when we were rooted in the bottom 3 in the Prem it wouldn't have made very interesting viewing anyway.

Here is a look at the table with all the possible moves up and down for each team. Hopefully it's reasonably self-explanatory, but let me know if there are questions and please point out any errors!

(The last three columns are points, goal difference and the next opponent. I haven't got around to adding headings yet)

EDIT: Updated to clearly show top 2, playoffs, bottom 3 - although the image appears to have disappeared. The link still works, maybe the image will reappear here at some point...

Welcome back. Love these.

So apart from the top two there is a lot of movement in the middle of the league due to it being so close.

Less movement towards the bottom end, but still no room for complacency.

Two wins required from these two home games then review.

Saw this a lot in previous seasons in the EFL - often the table can be broken up into chunks due to the "anyone can beat anyone" trait of these leagues. It is still early days but I think as time goes on, the thing to look out for is "blocks" forming in the charts. I think it serves as a nice indicator of just how tough and volatile this league can be.

Just had another look at this... our feathered friends are saved from the possibility of going bottom by the fact that the Blades are facing Blackburn. Lucky beggers.

These are great, thanks

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Am going to try and get them a bit more automated this year, but would appreciate some prods if I haven't posted it before a game!
