| I thought we played well.. 20:02 - Oct 25 with 606 views | IpswichTownBlue | We were fast out the traps & created some good openings in the first 20/25 minutes & if it wasn't for an excellent save we'd have been in front early on. The injuries in the first half meant we lost momentum and that seemed to continue up until the hour mark. The subs gave us more energy and creativity when the game was becoming stale with Clarke & Nunez in particular buzzing around causing problems with their movement. Credit to the team for not dropping their heads and showing a bit of metal to find the winning goal, it was deserved. West Brom are no mugs either, players like Johnston & Price are dangerous and we restricted not only them, but their whole team to very little. [Post edited 25 Oct 2025 20:04]

Nuñez at 10 was a necessity today, but he showed he van play there. Walton was good, and plays out faster (knows his limitations). Taylor was a rock in midfield: I'd start him and Matusiwa again. Interesting that we have maybe found a better 11, and there are more of the 2023-24 squad in it... | |
