Midweek evening games - Trains back to London 09:42 - Oct 30 with 456 views

Morning, are any fellow Londoners able to tell me what the trains back to London are like after the midweek evening games? I've always been reluctant to get a train back after an evening game under the assumption that it would be overcrowded and a generally unpleasant experience, but it's looking like the best option for next weeks game. Was hoping someone might be able to offer some reassurance that it's really as straightforward as it seems before I go ahead and book the tickets. Thanks!

I get them regularly. The first one after full time (usually 22.11) is usually rammed and noisy to start with, but then thins out after Manningtree. The one after that (usually a half hour later) is usually pretty quiet from the outset.

It’s fine, better without the excess of Premier League fans going back to London we had last season.
