Nintendo switches. 10:57 - Nov 12 with 522 viewsMattinLondon

My eldest has a switch - the first model not the more recent new one.

We don’t allow him to play online but a couple of his friends also have switches (and again their parents don’t allow them to play online).

Pardon my ignorance but is there a way that friends can play games together that’s like inside a private bubble? Where only school friends can be involved in that game?

Yes they will be able to but it will be on a game by game basis, they will be able to open private rooms and invite their friends to play. But having NSO (Nintendo Switch Online) will mean they will be able to play with others but it is extremely regulated and is the safest online gaming service around. But yes, It would have to be online unless they are together in the same room where they could play local multiplayer.

There is also a parental controls app which you can get to manage it for them:

Would have to be online I think. But whilst online you can set him up in a 'party' with his friends. That'll mean he's just speaking to / gaming with them. You can then set party options to ensure no random people can join.
