We've felt the pressure of expectation all season, going into almost every game as a solid favourite with the bookies and the fans and the pundits. Individually, bar Delap, Hutchinson and Tuanzebe, we're probably a stronger squad than we were last year, and a much stronger squad, individually, than we were two years ago. But morale is low and the fantastic team spirit of two or three years ago has not yet been engendered in this new squad, largely I think due to not getting off to a good start whilst under this pressure of expectation. Characters and team character have not really come to the fore yet. So playing a flying Coventry, who are somehow as long as 2-1 to beat us but will rightly no doubt fancy their chances and come at us far more cocky than any other team so far, might just free us up and give us the chance to flex our muscles and get right back on the horse only two or three points away from second spot. | |
