Welsh taxpayers took Broadhead from us is the headline behind the headline. If the government wanted to improve local infrastructure then they should have undertaken the work themselves, not write big open-ended cheques to Rob and Ryan.

Wait until how much public money West Ham has benefited from! This presumably happens all the time when stands are redeveloped or new grounds built. Not that it means it’s right of course. Public funding should be treated the same as any private investment, so there’s a a chance taxpayers see a return.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

You're spot on, the public should receive a healthy share of West Ham and Wrexham gate receipts until such time that neither club exists. Primarily to be reinvested in the new swimming pool behind Portman Road.

Man City got their stadium on the cheap as well after a Commonwealth games. Though they spent a good sum adding a tier on

I think there was a fear of the Olympic stadium becoming a white elephant so they moved it on with guarantees that there would be athletic events with retractable seats to uncover the athletics track etc. Which never happened, of course. But with Spurs as well as West Ham being interested, they could surely have struck a better deal. Someone should have been put in jail over it. Scandalous really.
