How have we fared in the 7 games in 22 days? One to go! 15:16 - Dec 12 with 317 viewsunstableblue

I posted the below missive in mid November - ahead of the crazy sequence of games:

Sat > Tues > Fri > Tues > Sat > Weds > Sat
Wrxhm h > Hull a > Oxfrd a > Blkbn a > Cov h > Stoke h > Leics a

I wrote Oxford as a banker! (Shows what I know - ahem, better players than I realised as the excuse) and that we needed goals from other players… and Egeli has stepped up.

I predicted - WDWLWWD - 14 points

And it’s been: DWLDWWx - 11 points, so win needed on a tough trip to Leicester to hit the 2 PPG.

12 or 14 points would still be good going, some consistency in selection but also some fresh legs. Thought Clarke and Cajuste have been looking very sharp off the bench.

What did you predict? What’s your view on how this crazy sequence has gone?

22 days, 7 games, 4 strong opponents - time to move into 4th gear by unstableblue 19 Nov 22:32

That’s about as an intense block as you can get - Cov, Stoke and Hull are top five for form

Season defining? - maybe

2PPG possible? - difficult as Blackburn a lottery

Time for McKenna’s squad rotation to pay dividends - a set of players ready and drilled

Time for goals and assists from a wider group of players, Akpom and Egeli goals

A moment for the defence to solidify

Oxford away a banker?

A period when the new squad could be fully integrated and embraced by the fan base

I’m going WDWLWWD - 14 points

Really looking forward to it - COYFB!
