I remember there being a thread in 2024 around the good & bad from everyones years. It was quite useful for me as I'd not really totted up the highs and lows and it was nice to get perspective, and nice to read how everyone else has been doing. I couldn't see it already created but apologies if it has, I'd appreciate the link.
The Bad
- Works been stressful this year, found it difficult working with a colleague that is close to management. I've become a bit disillusioned and disconnected.
- DIY house renovations are going slowly (mostly because I'm burnt out from it all)
- Because of those two - mental health hasn't been great but working on it.
The Good
- Great family holidays with the kids
- Whilst we've had chickenpox, flu, stomach bugs etc health of the greater family has been perfect.
- Got to a festival in the summer with some mates, had a great time.
- Milestone birthday celebrations - nice to get the family together and see everyone
- Had a stable year income wise and have managed to save an emergency fund of sorts. A nice comfort in tricky times.

The Good:
Mrs C recovered from a poor year health wise, an operation and radiotherapy in 2024.
Nice holidays and a golf tour.
I played much better at golf this season
My health has been good despite being beaten up by the dentist and robbed by the Optician
Beating Norwich at long last
The Bad:
Finding my brother in law in his house after he’d died of a heart attack
Dealing with the above as an Executor
My father’s estate has still not been fully wound up after two years. Mostly sorted now
ITFCs collapse second half of last season
All in all, not too bad. Life is what it is - good and bad. 7/10 for me. |  | | |
