Reasons to be cheerful 13:52 - Dec 28 with 840 views

Inspired by Ian Drury, and given all the gloomy threads, I'll begin by suggesting the appearance of our Wes on Friday.

I think he only touched the ball once, but in that moment he showed just what he offers that we don't currently have, namely, someone on the flanks who can get to the by-line.

Anyone have any other suggested reasons? Hopefully, we'll get beyond the "1, 2, 3" mentioned in the lyrics.

Anyway, there can't be many better vocal performances than this, although Paul Simon did say he rather regretted giving the vocals (and thus the praise) to Art for what was Simon's song.

My reason to be cheerful turned out to be spot on but never did I imagine Wes would actually score the winning goal.
