| Egeli on 16:12 - Feb 9 by PrideOfTheEast | We've bought him for that future potential. KM even last week talked about how we "had the opportunity" to get him, in a tone which suggested he's probably been more involved than we'd have anticipated at the start of the season. It was only 2 months ago that he scored a brilliant opening goal against Cov, impacted the game at Blackburn (scoring) and a little earlier than that he was v good at QPR and several home games. He's not about to go and play regularly for the u21s. Again as KM has said, he's probably a 10 (maybe a 9) down the line but will be learning loads. I wonder if they start him in the 10 on Friday night. |
I reckon it depends on Burns' knock and how serious that might or might not be. If its not too serious I think McAteer gets a start on the right and Egeli perhaps in the 10. If more serious maybe we wrap McAteer up in a bit more cotton wool and start Egeli on the right. I'd go something like this: Palmer Johnson O'Shea Baggott Greaves Neil Cajuste McAteer Egeli Akpom Hirst Not Akpom's ideal position but I thought he looked sharp in his last 2 appearances and needs a start. Ideally Philogene and Nunez are good for the bench, be nice to get them back out on the grass. Give Davis, Clarke and Matusiwa a rest. | |
