| International Football Association Board (IFAB) law changes 07:57 - Mar 1 with 402 views | Mark | Maybe some of the changes will speed the game up, but am not sure about a player needing to leave the field for a whole minute if an injury to them forces a stoppage in play (except goalkeepers). That seems harsh when players are on the end of hard tackles, particularly when yellow cards are awarded to the opponents. I disagree with the extention to VAR, which I think will further suck the fun out of the game. https://www.skysports.com/foot | | | | |
| International Football Association Board (IFAB) law changes on 08:09 - Mar 1 with 341 views | Lester_Freamon | So they're proposing introducing anti-time wasting measures to help "maintain the tempo of the game" whilst introducing VAR checks for corners.... | | | |

If the injury is as the result of a foul then the offending player should also by off the field for the same length of time.. As for checking corners presumably they will also hold up play if the referee decides it is a goal kick to check that as well.

I think the difficulty with that proposal is players could then time waste after fouls by bringing the trainer on, knowing both players would go off for a minute. Players usually find ways round the rules, as we are seeing with goalkeepers going down 'injured' in so many matches.
| International Football Association Board (IFAB) law changes on 09:07 - Mar 1 with 205 views | BloomBlue | I like how they're trying to stop time wasting by players simply dropping to the ground when their team is winning 1-0 with 10 mins to go, but won't the GK's simply drop to the ground more frequently? | | | |
