Club Brugge to be crowned champions
at 13:31 2 Apr 2020
By Belgian FA. Not perfect but probably better than declaring the season null and void as that punishes the successful and rewards the poorest performers.
Hope we do the same here.
Apologies for a football post.
Edit. And to Elder Grizzly, was disturbed by a phone call, thought it must have been an important call as don’t seem to be getting any pest calls these days.

We need to be careful how we respond to others
at 11:49 21 Mar 2020
A few words of caution about how we respond to others comments.
As time progresses Covid-19 is going to impact more and more on our lives and some are not going to cope with it as well as others. We need to be careful how we respond to other posters comments especially when we disagree with them. It is easy to dismiss hurtful comments as Bantz just remember others may be feeling the pressure, please try and avoid making it worse.
I know this message might be premature but there are those of us who have driven people off the board before now, we mustn’t let it happen in these difficult times.

Now that we all know how to wash our hands what is the next lesson, how to use indicators perhaps
Lock out at Stoke Park Pharmacy
at 18:56 18 Mar 2020
Went to collect prescription today. Door locked queue outside. Customers being dealt with one at a time by an assistant wearing mask. Took prescription, locked door, I locked door handed over prescription.
Not that applied to me but they are not taking cash to avoid handling contaminated money. Card payments only.
On to Asda service as usual, apart from lots of empty spaces on the shelfs. Limited bread supplies.
Still some people under estimate the impact of coronavirus
at 19:58 17 Mar 2020
Some chilling facts comparing the situation today with what it was two weeks ago.
Two weeks ago the number of deaths in Italy rose to 79. Today it burst through the 2500 level with another 345 deaths.
Two weeks ago the first death was reported in Spain today the figure rose to 533 with 191 of them in the last 24 hours.
Today our death figure rose to 71, it doesn’t take much to imagine what the situation will be in the U.K. in 14 days time.

Leicester lost at Norwich
West Brom lost at home to Wigan
Liverpool are two down at Watford , but 25 minutes to go.
Wonder if Klopp, should Liverpool be defeated, will say “we go again”

Why blue shorts
at 20:01 8 Feb 2020
Did someone think it would bring about good fortune or did we forget the black cats wear black shorts?

Watching Spurs v Man City. Ref doesn’t give a penalty but VAR taking a look at it. Full two minutes before ball goes out of play and Penalty awarded. Does that two minutes get added on.
If you’re not watching Loris saved the penalty, but second VAR review for a possible second penalty for foul by lLoris, not awarded but 2 yellows for the scrummage that’s followed.
Who do you blame for lack of focus?
at 10:07 2 Feb 2020
12 months ago there was an unhealthy attitude around the club. A complete lack of focus. Resignation, a feeling of if we go down we go down.
Had someone said three months ago that come February we would be back in the same hellhole would you have believed them?
You get the feeling that Lambert wasn’t hurt by yesterday’s shambolic performance, that he thinks it is OK to just say we were beaten by a better team. I’m all right jack I’ve got a five year contract from an owner who won’t sack me. Likewise the older players who showed a lack of respect for supporters by shrugging off another game where they were poorly prepared for the task ahead of them.
Peterborough are not a better club than ours. They were a better team because they were better prepared, drilled better, had more commitment, more focused.
Someone needs to get o grip on things, players, manager, owner. It is just unacceptable to shrug your shoulders, point out how many games we still have to get the points needed.
The attitude seems to be “ If we go up we go up, if we don’t we don’t “ That is unacceptable.
Why oh why did Evans give him a new contract, he hadn’t earned it yet.
Three months ago we had a bit of a blip, but it seemed temporary, today it looks like a further slide into oblivion. I thought come Feb we would have a settled team, full of confidence in their own ability individually and collectively. We would have at least three of our home grown players in each and every starting eleven, and a couple more on the bench. How wrong can you be.
Next six home games

All against teams with a realistic chance of making the play offs.
We need a total of 12 points from those games.
