Subject A12 / A14. Sent out from House of Commons on HoC stationary. Envelope franked by Royal Mail "50 years of Monty Python's Flying Circus" seemed quite appropriate.

Overnight closures A 14 from Monday
at 11:21 28 Sep 2019

Did anyone else get written notification from highways England?

The letter shows that eastbound entry and exit slips are closed Tuesday to Thursday next week 8pm _6am at junction 55. Simples no big deal BUT they provide a map showing the diversions agreed with Suffolk CC.

The map shows A1214 is also closed from Tesco roundabout both carriageways. The recommended route from Tesco roundabout to A12 south is London Road, Colchester Road then through Kesgrave to join A12 at Martlesham Heath over the Orwell Bridge to Copdock Mill Interchange. This is deemed the appropriate diversion route for all traffic. Crazy

It is easy for younger generation to blame their elders

But consider this. fifty plus years ago we had our milk delivered by environmentally friendly electric milk floats. The milk was in glass bottles which were collected by the milkman, returned to the dairy cleaned and reused dozens of times before being melted down and turned into new glass bottles.

We still have our milk left on the doorstep but only three days a week. How many on here don't take advantage of this simply because each pint costs a few pence more. Instead you go to a supermarket and bring your milk home in plastic bottle which.gets thrown into the waste bin.

If you really want to save the planet you need to review all your actions don't leave it to others.

Step son, a northstander for 20+ years, family enclosure before that, finished 58th in 1 hr 27mins. Looks like he will have raised £800 for Spinal Injuries Association who have been very supportive of his mum.

She tripped over a coffee table broke her neck and damaged her spinal cord. You never know what lies ahead in life.

Have friends in Morehead. City, North Carolina. Thought I would check online the current situation as know there is a voluntary evacuation notice in operation. Cannot log into any local news service, newspaper or TV station as they block access from EU as their websites do not currently comply with EU data regulations.

Annoying.
