Arctic tern migration 16:33 - Mar 2 with 270 views

These guys are off their rocker aren't they? 70,000 km+ per year some of them. Arctic to the Antarctic and back again each year, spending nearly half the year migrating, and over their life the equivalent of 4 return trips from Earth to the Moon.

3 months or so down to Antarctica arriving in November, 2 months back again heading off about now.

Absolute lunatics.
