Not sure how I feel. 21:28 - Mar 24 with 322 viewsbsw72

I have tried to take a pragmatic stance today, knowing how manipulative Farage and his mob can be I firmly believed that the club had been an unwitting victim of a media stunt as I could not believe that the club would have been involved.

It now seems I was wrong, the club seems to know a lot more than was suggested earlier and I am frankly baffled by it all.

Just how did anyone at the club think this would end up with any kind of positive outcome for anyone apart from Farage.

Can’t work out whether I am more disappointed or angry but ultimately it’s just left a really sour taste in my mouth as my club has always been such a family friendly and inclusive place and representative of everything I felt was positive about a community club, and this has undermined that for me.

Thanks for this. You’ve articulated how I and I think many others feel. I’m not outraged or ashamed or disgusted, just disappointed that poor judgement and/or naivety has brought about an unwelcome distraction and in the eyes of many damaged the reputation of the club. It isn’t “the club” though, it’s a few individuals who represent it.

Poll: Most enjoyable calendar year as an Ipswich supporter
