...and what a 5 years it's been. Such an exciting time to be a town fan. We've had something to fight for each season, other than the first, which I can forgive them for, as we were in such a state of flux at the time!

We might end the season broadly where Marcus was. I think people forget too easily how good 14/15 was and the early Marcus excitement which was exactly the same trajectory as under Gamechanger. No promotions. But at a higher level.
If we don’t go up. We spent double Marcus’ investment in 18 months to be not much better.
Year one. Mid table in league one. Year two, second to Plymouth in league one. Year three an actual miracle. Year four the worst in our history. Year five TBC
If we don’t go up. With our resources you have ONE outlier in five and an ownership that built our entire club around Mark Ashtons ego.
I’m not sure it’s as good a record as you suggest.
We want promotions for sure…, but would winning the national league be huge success for a club our size? Great owners, or a taller dwarf than Marcus? | | | |

Financial comparisons between the 2 eras are pointless. It's a completely different ballgame now, compared to when Evans came in. At that point most of EFL clubs were owned by rich individuals. Now any competitive Championship teams are owned by super rich hedge/pension funds or consortiums. | | | |
