Despite how phenomenal he was last time in the Championship and how sad I'd be to see him go, I can't help but think that it may be better on the whole for the team if he moves on. His defensive qualities are just not good enough for us in the Premier League. I'm not saying he is not good enough for the Prem, just that the midfield/defence around him needs to be of much better quality than we have. I think the balance of having someone slightly better defensively and not looking to try and move too far up the pitch, leaving gaping holes for the forward machines/steam trains to exploit, will be much better for the team. Of course, this would also all depend on us finding a decent replacement for him. [Post edited 22 May 12:15]

 | Forum Thread | Where is VAR for a clear dangerous overhead! at 16:32 10 May 2025
Not saying I agree that it should be a straight red but every single challenge we make in the box seems to have been looked at by VAR today, but a clearly dangerous challenge? Na mate, as you were! [Post edited 10 May 16:35]

Largely competitive, without creating anything definitive. Then conceding softly from a set piece. Ensico and Hutchinson have been impressive, but the support from midfield has not been good enough. Sam has been combative and played okay on the whole but Taylor has been poor. I'm not entirely sure what the question is, but I definitely know the answer is not Taylor! I really hope we're not relying on him next season. Last season was probably his rightful place in the squad. He is nothing other than a Championship level back up, for me. I don't want to come off as digging him out, it's really not his fault we're down to the bare bones and mainly just highlights how crap our luck with injuries has been this season. Anyway, let's hope for a good response 2nd half. Give the fantastic support in the ground something to cheer about. COYB! |

I see he's leaving Bayer Leverkusen. I take it he's leaving them to join the scum. |

For all his solidity in the majority of his decision making he's pretty pants at dealing with crosses, isn't he? It probably won't be a popular point of view but I don't think he is a massive upgrade on Muric. He was clearly in good form for his first few games but I think he's been rather average since. I honestly don't think there is much between Muric, Palmer or Walton. They all have positives and fairly big negatives too. |

I shouldn't feel like this in our first season back in the PLfor over 20 years, but it's just an awful league isn't it? I want us to be at the top table, but there's no fun to be had when the dice are rigged against you so much. Can't we just end the season now? |
 | Forum Thread | For all the talk of Leicester being terrible at 16:43 20 Apr 2025
Each time I've watched them they seem to offer some threat going forwards. They just seem slightly worse at the back than us. I've not watched too much of them to be honest, so it could just be the games I've seen and they've been awful in most of the others. I think they'll still be a big gun next season regardless of any impending punishment from the EFL. |
