| ben johnson on 11:23 - Apr 12 with 861 views | BloomBlue | I made the point yesterday on another post, he's had his critics but has done well covering for Leif at LB and yesterday on the right. Ok he doesn't have the pace of Burn's but he provided an outlet yesterday when required, defended when he needed to. A solid performance without being spectacular. Bit like the Birmingham game, I didn't feel he got the credit he deserved. | | | |

Like a new signing, odd how little he's been used, often missing out in the matchday squad altogether. Was fairly decent last season, away games in particular. Seemed to be up for the battle as well yesterday which was nice to see. Maybe his versatility is a problem, can't be many who can move from left back to right sided forward player.

Just as solid reliable players do, never get the headlines, but teams, not just ours, are usually worse off without one or two. Ben Johnson was decent in the PL for WHU, didn't see enough of him for us there. It should come as no surprise. Can also play in midfield too. Saw him put in a MOM display there for WHU 2 seasons ago.

He’ll be ideal for Saints away to shore up the right side
