Football is becoming such a bloody joke. Can we get back to just watching the players on the pitch rather than all of this lawyer, case, court date nonsense?

Just signed for Leyton Orient permenantly. 3 year deal. I seem to remember their fans loving him when he was on loan there, good luck to him - definitely a good midfielder in there.

I get why he wants to play in the PL and good on him, but based on the last few seasons, there's a pretty decent chance that we end up swapping places with Burnley and Axel finds himself in the same situation next summer.
Also, I can't imagine they would be offering a better/longer deal or paying more money than we are.
I get it, I just thought as someone who has had a bit of a nomadic career so far, he would fancy settling down in the Suffolk countryside and likely being back in the PL next season - same as O Shea. |

Crikey I would not want to be in the trenches with some of you lot!
McKenna is not going to leave us to go to Brentford - a much smaller club who are about to lose some very key players. There is only one direction for them to go now and it is downwards.
Remember that we have literally built the entire club on the back of KmcK and he will never, ever get that anywhere else that he goes. He's with us and will continue to be so into next season. I honestly think if he was going to go anywhere, he'd have gone to Palace a few years ago (which he nearly did, in fairness) or he would've gone to one of the bigger clubs knocking on the door last summer.
Please can we not do this again, I can't be bothered with it. |

Great that he got a send off on 88', top guy to boot as well.

Thread | What has actually gone wrong since Xmas?

I keep saying everybody saying that we've got it massively wrong since Christmas, which is very true.
But where does this lie? I really thought we would have kicked on and got better during the season but we've managed to regress instead. We don't seem to have changed a great deal about our tactics, I don't think it's that.
For me, part of it is the injuries - at full strength, our squad is actually very good and has good depth. Then there's the January recruitment. Philogene has been pretty dire, we didn't get that third striker in meaning we had to play AAH, Palmer is also looking like he's regressed since his first few games, Godfrey is basically non-existent unless we get a red card.
Then again, I do still believe that at times we've just been on the wrong end of the stick in games. Think Clarke hitting the post to go 1-3 up at Fulham, yesterday we could've won the game based on the chances we created, conceded just after HT in a big game against United, conceded late against Southampton, could go on.
All in all, I think we'll do ok next season but personally I just can't see these group of lads bouncing us back immediately. I think we will finish in or around the playoffs. [Post edited 19 May 17:33]

Wonder if it would be worth a cheeky loan bid for the Championship? Yes he has a few starts under his belt but fairly inconsistently in and out of the Barcelona team.
Our targets are meant to be 'scary' and I think he would develop well under KmcK. |

I am convinced nobody covers their mouth when coughing nowadays. Every time I go out it seems to happen.
Some bloke started coughing all over the meat aisle in ASDA today hence for this rant ffs! I know it's all sealed, but still!!!
Tried to talk to my mrs about it and she said I get wound up too easily, so this was my second best place to rant. [Post edited 22 Apr 17:03]
