| We are a poor team on dark rainy nights ... 23:49 - Apr 14 with 582 views | pablovien | The moment I saw the torrential downpour at Fratton Park, I knew that we would lose. We always struggle on rainy days and a lot more on rainy nights. This season, from memory, these conditions happened at Blackburn (the abandoned away game), Oxford away, Wrexham away and tonight. (Although we showed some spirit at Wrexham, in daylight, we still lost by two goals anyway ...) Bad weather conditions and poor pitches are great levelers. However, our lack of spirit on dark rainy nights goes beyond this. I still remember being shocked by the lack of team effort during a 2-0 home loss to Rotherham, on a rainy midweek night during the Paul Lambert era. At least we are now capable of playing well in good weather conditions on good pitches | | | | |

No way. Not at all! 1. It identifies an issue whose cause can, at least potentially, be identified and addressed, and 2. If the team plays well enough in good conditions it can still get automatic promotion and will definitely make the playoffs. | | | |
