I see the transfer window doesn't open until 15th June, 4 days after the World Cup starts.
Obviously conversations will take place before then and any outgoings could happen before clubs return for pre season training at the beginning of July.
But as many of our targets are likely to be playing in the World Cup, other than free transfers I can't see any international signings happening until players have been knocked out and had a holiday.
As we're near the bottom of the PL food chain, we'll also have to wait for the bigger clubs to trigger the domino effect.
In short, pre season training will be underway before we get many of our signings through the door. We'll also play 2 league matches before the transfer window closes on 31st August. KMc obviously knows this, but as we can't play catch-up in the PL we'll have to 'gel' quickly which isn't something we did this season. |  |
