 | Forum Thread | Attendances Next Season at 18:09 24 Jul 2025
I reckon Gamechanger and MA have overestimated the demand for tickets next season, especially Grade B fixtures that are moved for TV. Yes GC have successfully rebuilt our football club, but historically when have we ever sold out in the Championship (apart from 'big' matches)? Ignoring concessions, prices for Grade B fixtures range from £34 to £55. Assuming there are approx. 20,000 ST holders, I don't think we'll sell 8,000 odd match tickets at those prices. |
 | Forum Thread | Is Everyone Fit? at 10:28 18 Jul 2025
Apart from Wes who is obviously still recovering from his ACL injury, is everyone fit and training in Austria? Harry Clarke, Jaden and Chieo all appear to have recovered following their operations/injuries. |
 | Forum Thread | Delap & PSR at 11:06 27 May 2025
Obviously from a footballing perspective, it will be good if Delap's future is sorted asap. But from a PSR perspective, does anyone know if it's better that he signs for Chelsea before or after 30th June? For all the negative comments about how much we've spent, I guess it's actually possible that (excl. money spent on infrastructure) we make a PSR profit in 2024/25 if Delap leaves in June. |
 | Forum Thread | £3M match against Leicester at 17:29 12 May 2025
£3M is loose change to established PL clubs, but for us it's still a significant amount of money needed to help us comply with FFP next season. Let's hope we can get at least a draw against Leicester. |
 | Forum Thread | Muric - Persevere or Not at 12:26 5 May 2025
I don't want to start another Muric bashing thread, but I'm curious as to whether we think the club will persevere with him a while longer. Personally I think we might, for a few reasons: --he clearly has a high ceiling if we can resolve the concentration issue --he's currently injured, so don't know if another club would sign him this summer --I'm not sure if interested clubs in Europe would be able to afford his wages Having said all that, I guess a loan with an option to buy may suit all parties. Surely he has way too much potential to have his contract mutually terminated. |
 | Forum Thread | Anyone supporting Arsenal tonight? at 15:22 29 Apr 2025
I would have wanted Arsenal to win tonight, but after listening to their obsession about us being relegated and never playing us again - fc*k them. I hope PSG win. |
 | Forum Thread | Spurs linked with Iraola, Silva and Frank at 17:38 22 Apr 2025
No surprise that the MSM are reporting that Postecoglou will leave Spurs even if they win the Europa League. They are being linked with Iraola, Marco Silva and Thomas Frank. If any of those appointments happen, I'd be surprised if we don't have another summer of will he/won't he leave for Bournemouth/Fulham/Brentford. |
 | Forum Thread | Cobbold Safe Standing at 16:25 22 Apr 2025
Is it my imagination, or have the club recently added more safe standing in the Cobbold Stand? Looked to me on Sunday that the whole away end in the upper tier, plus the whole of Block A is now safe standing. I'm pretty sure the first few rows used to be seating. |
 | Forum Thread | Worst 'Big 6' Away Fans at Portman Road at 06:15 21 Apr 2025
So now we've played all the Big/Sky 6, who were the worst away fans at Portman Road this season? To me that means being obsessed with us rather than supporting their own team. I think Man City and Arsenal were joint worst. Surely we should be irrelevant to them. Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs were decent. Even Chelsea were okay considering we beat them. Not part of the Sky 6 (yet) and even though it's a cliche, Newcastle were easily the best away supporters at Portman Road this season. Just supported their football team (loudly). |
 | Forum Thread | Season Ticket Direct Debits at 07:23 19 Apr 2025
Does anyone have any inside info. on what's happening with the season ticket direct debits? It's pretty clear that it's not going to be 12 months interest free next season, so I guess the two realistic options are: 10 or 11 months interest free use a finance provider (e.g. V12 finance) who charge interest The owners have done so much for the club over the last 4 years, but we all understand they are looking for a return on their investment and Ashton does have form for poor comms to ST holders. |
 | Forum Thread | Baggott to return? at 06:43 8 Apr 2025
With the news that Cam Burgess is likely to leave, do we think Baggott will return to the squad next season as back up to Greaves? I don't think he's pulled up any trees in League One, but it would certainly free up wages to spend elsewhere like central midfield. |
 | Forum Thread | Burgess Contract at 16:33 7 Apr 2025
I think we all accept that unfortunately Axel wants to move on this summer, but now that we're all but relegated I hope Burgess is offered and signs a new contract. We still need 2 players for each position in the Championship, so unless the plan is for Elkan Baggott to be back up to Jacob Greaves then we won't find better than Cam Burgess. |
 | Forum Thread | Ogbene Injury at 10:43 7 Apr 2025
Has anyone heard how Ogbene's return from injury is progressing? Obviously no point rushing him back now, but it was mentioned at the time he may play a part towards the end of this season. Hopefully he'll recover in time for a full pre-season. |
 | Forum Thread | Season Tickets at 10:22 2 Apr 2025
No news on season tickets yet, so looking likely that the club will remove the 12 month interest free direct debit option for next season. First payment is usually taken on 1st May. Can't really be any later than that, otherwise they run the risk of supporters cancelling their last installment after the final home game of next season. Maybe something will be announced next week, when relegation is likely to be all but confirmed. |
 | Forum Thread | Gap between the Championship and PL at 10:48 16 Mar 2025
Wrexham have gone from the National League and are now pushing for promotion to the Championship in consecutive seasons without spending a huge amount of money. I reckon this indicates the gap between the Championship and the PL, is now as big as the gap between the National League and Championship. Incredible really and not good for football. |
 | Forum Thread | Loan Players Next Season at 08:05 2 Mar 2025
Assuming we are relegated, which of our loan players do we think will be in our 25 man squad next season? Of the following players, I reckon only Harness will move on. IMO Clarke will return to compete with Johnson, Baggott may return if Burgess doesn't sign a new contract, Humphreys could be our '10' option along with Chappers and AAH will probably return unless we can sign 2 strikers (one to replace Delap). Clarke Baggott Humphreys AAH Harness |
 | Forum Thread | What do you hope for now? at 09:18 23 Feb 2025
I think even the most optimistic supporter is now resigned to relegation. Barring a minor miracle, what are your hopes for the rest of this season? Personally I would like to see the following: --be competitive for the last 12 fixtures, it's no fun watching us get walloped --finish 18th. It's worth another £3M if we can finish above Leicester --not easily done as KMc can't just drop Delap and Cajuste, but give more minutes to players who will be here next season (e.g. play Johnson over Godfrey, give Hirst more minutes) --not always possible, but try and field a settled team/formation so we can build partnerships and get our identity back --results will dictate this, but try and rebuild some confidence amongst the players and fans so we end this season feeling positive about 2025/26 |
 | Forum Thread | Three Lions Lounge at 07:40 23 Feb 2025
Does anyone know what the new Three Lions lounge at the bottom of the West Stand will be used for? Hoping it might be a bar for match day ticket holders, but probably another hospitality area. |
 | Forum Thread | Away Ballots at 18:06 13 Feb 2025
Has anyone on here been successful in an away ballot this season? No success again for me in the Palace ballot. I've no issue with the points system, but the SB membership is proving to be a waste of £40. |
 | Forum Thread | Is it time to take the handbrake off? at 17:18 10 Feb 2025
14 matches remaining to stay in the PL. Is it time to go 4-2-3-1 in all our remaining matches, field a settled team whenever possible and go sh*t or bust?! I understand the danger is matches could run away from us if we don't keep it tight, but I'd rather go down in a blaze of glory rather than repeat our performances against Everton, Palace and Brighton. |
