Am I an old grump to think this game ticked so many "what's wrong with football now"? Guards of honour during the game, new kits for next season being worn, empty seats for the final game of Man City's (English football's?) finest manager.

Football’s got a little bit tiresome. Sideways and backwards possession-based. Set Piece FC. VAR controversy every game. Fans crying and screaming about corruption because refs sometimes make a mistake. Feels like in the prem you get one genuinely exciting game per month.

You’re forgetting the horrible atmosphere at most grounds which is light years behind some countries mainly because of the tourists that frequent premier league games especially.
