When does this start becoming a bit too much of a monopoly of the secondary UEFA tournaments? Last years Europa final contained the 16th and 17th placed English sides. Villa didn't particularly look in any bother on winning this year. As for the Conference, Chelsea did it with their eyes closed last year and West Ham, now relegated, won it two years previous to that.
The rewards for winning is automatically qualifying the next year and allowing more and more clubs in that domestic league to qualify and the ball keeps rolling. I'm not complaining as if everything lines up, it could be something we may do in years to come but as a competition it does feel like that huge financial pull of the Premier League could totally saturate these tournaments. |  |

The premier league has so much money coming into it. Strange really. Yes we have a lot of the best players, but does that make for a good match? Not really. The championship has better matches, but even that is starting to fade now with the low blocks. You can often watch other counties football for free and see some cracking matches. I am surprised that other countries still pay premium to watch the premier league. Mostly the rich Asians. I wonder if that will end when their leagues are good? |  | | |
