How did you feel when Bobby Robson was appointed as Ipswich manager having been sacked by Fulham after only 8 months in charge ?

To put that further into context the two clubs either side of us in the list are.
Hull 41 managers since 1936
Leeds 39 managers since 1936.
And I appologise, I made a mistake. We have not had 20 managers in that time.
It is 19 including GON. |

I in first year of Secondary school. We had just lost Bill Macgary to Wolves so was pleased we got a new manager pretty quickly. First few seasons were rough but we were not as strong or rich as most other teams. We had good scouts but and a youth programme that eventually proved there worth. The Robson out calls were mostly from the second season Sir Bobby was in charge. We ended up safe and he stayed and rewarded the Cobbolds for their support.Fans can be fickle, but everyone deserves a fair go.
I really don't think GON is who we need. He has done ok but when you look at the quality of players he inherited at Bournemouth and Wolves he should have kept them up. I worry about our recruitment. That's now critical. | | | |
