Is the Spanish keeper any good? 15:38 - Jul 14 with 469 viewsRIPbobby

He conceded a soft goal Vs Belgium. He has had little to do and looked really rusty when called upon. Is he their weak link?

He's a solid keeper but probably not at the level of Joan Garcia or David Raya on the bench. I think Spain have a few areas where they could be stronger, the keeper is one. I'm not convinced by Baena on the left, Nico Williams is not 100% and they look less threatening there. I think the right back area is also an issue as Lamine Yamal doesn't provide any cover and Porro is a decent but not spectacular right back. Last one is in attack, it's no coincidence that Merino has come on and scored late goals as Spain struggle to have any presence in the penalty area.

I really want Spain to win tonight but I'm not convinced they'll have enough against the front 3 or 4 of France.

I do like Olazabal or however you spell his name.

He is a decent GK, albeit probably the weakest in their squad. Statistically Raya and Garcia were two of the best keepers (and league winners) in Europe last season, Simon conceded twice as many as the 2 of them combined. He's been shown an insane amount of loyalty from the manager, but hasn't really had to step up in any of their games. France will make his job very hard though. I'd be pointing to him, and the lack of cover on the wings as weak areas.
