Would get Leif and Johnson in the team, neither of whom can defend well enough, but have great quality on the ball. Would give the option of three in midfield too, where we have a few who’d be better as 8’s than playing two 6’s.

Always surprised McKenna only used it when we lost a lot on the bounce, and maybe his first game against Wycombe.., though that was a blur; Norwood at left back last ten minutes, clinging on.
Maybe it’s what Ashton referred to GON methodology for staying up, a more pragmatic shape and system some games.
Certainly our best chance most likely is to be very hard to beat and moments of quality.
We do have pace on the counter, and would suit Clarke and Fats, Emersonn etc
Interesting times .., think already GON will be more adaptable and nuanced than McKenna .., I hope he gets patience and time, and people remember this is five times the level McKenna had success at. |  |
